"Morning Wendy!" ― The Heelers meeting with Wendy

Wendy is a secondary character that has appeared in multiple episodes of Bluey.

Bluey.tv Description

Wendy is Judo’s mum and Bluey’s next-door neighbour.

She is a chow chow who takes tremendous pride in her appearance, particularly her luxurious white fur, which takes forever to clean.

Wendy enjoys keeping fit and loves her power walks, but all too often she’ll bump into Bluey and Bandit during one of their games, leading to all kinds of funny misunderstandings.

Wendy is originally from England and enjoys singing old British music hall songs.[1]

Biography

Wendy is Judo’s mother and Bluey and Bingo’s next-door neighbour. Her grandfather was known to have worked as a sheep shearer.

After Bluey was born, Wendy made the Heeler family five lasagnas. Chilli was greatly impressed by this kindness, remembering it even years later.[2] Judo was born around the same time, and Wendy took part in a mother’s group with her that also included Chilli and Bluey, Snickers and his mum, and Bella and Coco. Wendy was both pleased and amused by Judo's accomplishments, but was also dismissive of the idea that the children were in any sort of competition.[3]

Appearance

Wendy is a Chow Chow with curly beige fur. She wears a blue and gold brooch, usually on the right side of her chest. She’s also notably one of the few female characters to have eyelashes, alongside Coco.

When she's exercising, she wears light yellow wristbands, and a matching headband shown in Sheep Dog and Ragdoll.

When trimmed, she appears slimmer.

Personality

Wendy has the air of a proper, elegant woman on many occasions, in sharp contrast to the antics of several of her neighbors. By turns alarmed, confused, or appalled by such goings on, she remains on good terms with them. It appears as though she gets along better with her female neighbors and their children than with the husbands in the area. Indeed, she can be quite no-nonsense at times, which comes in handy when dealing with Bandit.

Though she seems to put a great deal of stock in appearance, she is not especially competitive. Despite her somewhat aristocratic attitude, Wendy is also kind and understanding. Wendy is a decorous mother and kind-hearted towards her daughter, even trimming her own beautiful fur so that Judo could play in the dirt with Bluey and Bingo. She also evidences great affection for her friends, embracing Chilli when it looked as though they would no longer be neighbors.
