The Show is the nineteenth episode of the second season of Bluey.

Synopsis

When Bingo drops Mum's breakfast-in-bed on the floor, she's convinced she's ruined her big day. But Bluey helps make amends by putting on a play of how Mum and Dad first met.

On Mother's Day, Bandit and the girls try to surprise Chilli, but Bingo trips and accidentally drops the breakfast tray. Thinking that she's ruined her mother's special day, Bingo runs off to cry. Chilli and Bluey come and comfort her, with Chilli encouraging her to follow up her crying by “picking [herself] up" and “dusting [herself] off" whenever something unfortunate happens. Bingo doubts her ability to do all of this, but Bluey soon distracts her by suggesting that they out in a show.

With Bluey playing Bandit, and Bingo playing Chilli, the pair perform a play that their parents find by turns amusing, endearing, confusing, and-in Bandit's case-unflattering. They act out various scenes, from their parents' meeting at a party in London to Bandit proposing during an Italian backpacking trip, and from the wedding to Chilli's first pregnancy.

Unfortunately, the balloon representing the unborn Bluey pops. When this happens, Chilli's smile vanishes and Bandit places his left hand atop her right hand in support.

Having lost her confidence, Bingo blames herself for the balloon popping and runs “offstage"-really to one side of their parents' balcony-in despair, and Bluey desperately tries to call her back.

Recalling her mother's advice, Bingo gets back in the game, drafting her father-clad in play bonnet and nappy-as newborn Bluey. While Bandit returns some of Bluey's earlier teasing, Chilli congratulates her younger daughter.

This episode is set on Mother's Day morning.
This is the first episode where Bluey probes and addresses her parents by their first-names, or in her words "not-Mum-name" (Chilli) and "big blue guy called Bandit".
For the longest time, the blue balloon popping was speculated by fans to be a reference to a potential miscarriage.
- Chilli was confirmed to have had a miscarriage via an interview with Joe Brumm^[1]:
  "The Show" indeed does point at Chilli having a miscarriage. In fact, this is what the episode is about essentially, Chilli is passing down her method of coping to Bingo.

When Bingo is crying in the playroom, the drawing of Bluey and Jean-Luc from the episode, Bingo, can be seen on the wall.
The backpack Bingo uses is the one she used for Mount Mumandad.
When Bluey is pretending to be Bandit meeting Chilli for the first time, she has a finger up her nose. In The Magic Xylophone, when Chilli sees Bandit frozen with his finger up his nose, she remarks "It's just like when we first met!"
The "dispute" Chilli refers to about her meeting Bandit in London comes back in Fairytale, when Bandit gets to tell his version of the story.
Long Dog: This is the same long dog from Bingo.
- Given that it is the same color, in the same spot, and reading a newspaper, it is probable that this long dog is part of the background. It is likely that the production crew re-used this background, and either forgot to remove this long dog or simply decided to reuse it.
When the first half of Season Two episodes aired on CBeebies, this episode and Queens were left out, as Queen Elizabeth had died a few days prior. This episode is still not available on the streaming platform BBC iPlayer.
When this episode aired on Disney Channel in the US, it was paired with Tickle Crabs and Escape.
