Synopsis[]
Bluey and Bingo are playing "The Quiet Game" and won't use words to tell Dad which toy to buy for Muffin. At his wits end, Dad recruits new store clerk Alfie to help interpret the girls' miming.
Episode Recap[]
Warning Spoilers!
Bandit takes the girls to the store, amusing himself with some aspects of the quiet game. At the same time, a nervous young employee named Alfie is dropped off for his first day of work. Bandit’s efforts to stop or even pause the game prove fruitless, and he winds up resorting to interpreting the girls’ charades. His initial misunderstanding leads him to send Alfie off on a search for a nonexistent toy. Finally he determines that Muffin wants another Moonlight Unicorn toy, but has no idea which one to get her.
Bandit tries to convince himself that it won’t matter if Muffin gets a duplicate toy, but another charade from the girls reminds him of his niece’s volatile temper. Returning to the display, he is unable to decipher their new actions. Alfie returns at this point, and Bandit pleads with him to help figure it out. Determined to be helpful, Alfie carefully considers their pantomime as a small crowd of onlookers is drawn in. Eventually he is able to guess what they are trying to say.
Bandit is thrilled by Alfie’s success, and the girls inadvertently end their game with excited outbursts. Bandit praises Alfie to the store manager, much to the younger dog’s delight. Back at home, Dad and the girls sing their words as they collaborate to wrap Muffin’s present. Chilli returns and comments on the noise, but Bandit has gained a new appreciation for being able to hear his daughters loud and clear.Appearances[]

Trivia[]
- Bluey doesn't do her dance from the opening sequence in the credits. Instead, she dances with a bean bag bottom.
- The section where the specific characters announce the title of the episode is whispered, which seems fitting, as Bluey and Bingo were playing the quiet game.
- There is a scene that shows a bookstore featuring a book with a cover similar to "Fruitbat" on its window.
- The "Moonlight Unicorns" resemble (and are likely a reference to) the popular My Little Pony franchise, with the names of a few unicorns mentioned bearing some resemblance to a handful of the characters from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series:
- Moonlight likely comes from Moon Dancer and Twilight Sparkle
- Appledale likely comes from Applejack and the common suffix for place names, -dale, meaning valley
- Pebbledasher likely comes from Rainbow Dash
- The Busker can be seen giving Ice Cream Lady a $5 bill with the tooth sticker on it, which he was given by Indy from Markets in Season 1.
- The Yes/No button can be seen and heard, when Bandit lays down.
- Long Dog: This long dog is cyan with a darker nose and like the one in Charades it is flexible. It is most visible after Bandit and the girls are in the Moonlight Unicorn section, specifically in the background wrapped over a large green egg.
- Interestingly, the flexible long dog spread over a large spherical object, appears in both current episodes where the girls must silently act out what they mean (Charades and this episode), giving them a common theme.
- When this episode aired on Disney Channel in the US, it was paired with Postman and Café.
- In Indonesian Mentari TV version, the episode doesn't have its title card read aloud at all. similar to original dub of the episode 18 of the Season 3, Rain.
Errors[]
- Cornelius can be seen in the background on a date with his girlfriend and trying to impress her by putting money in a homeless dog's hat. The dollarbuck suffers an animation error as they walk away by coming to the top layer in front of the hat.
- The Busker's hair becomes distorted near the end of his cameo, which is possibly a minor animation error.
