The Doctor is the eighteenth episode of the first season of Bluey.
Synopsis[]
Receptionist Bluey welcomes Honey to Dr Bingo's surgery, asking what's wrong.
Deciding on a sore knee (despite Bluey suggesting bigger) Honey finds herself stuck in the waiting room as the more exciting cases get priority – from alligators on heads to cuddled cactuses.[2]
When Rusty jumps to the front of the line thanks to his uncontrollable baby hippo burps, Honey worries she might never get a turn.
Bluey cheers her up by remarking on how funny she can be, which prompts Honey to show how her tail can wag her body. Declaring this to be a 'real pickle' Bingo ushers Honey at last into her office.
Honey is stuck in the waiting room with receptionist Bluey as Dr. Bingo prioritises patients with more exciting injuries, until Honey demonstrates how her tail can wag her body.[2]

Bluey and Bingo are playing Doctor's Office; with Bingo as the doctor, and Bluey as the receptionist. Honey checks in as a patient, but she's having some trouble coming up with an ailment. She settles on a bumped knee. Doctor Bingo is unimpressed with such a prosaic injury - and just then, Lucky runs in with a stuffed crocodile biting his head! She takes Lucky to the play house to be treated, leaving Honey to wait.
One after another, patients with more dramatic injuries show up - Snickers cuddled a cactus, Indy's arms fell off, Coco got bitten by seven scorpions, and Rusty swallowed a hippopotamus (and now when he burps, he burps up baby hippos). With Snickers and then Rusty being seen before her, she despairs of ever being seen - "Everyone's problem is a real pickle, except mine."
Bluey sits with her, and she is able to make Bluey laugh, which in turn, cheers her up. Bluey encourages her to do something else funny, so she gets up in front of Bluey, Indy, and Coco, and performs an optical illusion where her tail stands still while her body "wags". Bingo declares this to be the biggest pickle she's ever seen, and calls Honey back to the office.
The episode ends with a shot of Bandit, bandaged and covered in plush snakes, asking if the doctor will be much longer.

- This episode is the first instance of a sound effect used in the title card.
- Long Dog: This version of the long dog looks like the original but is wearing sunnies (sunglasses.) It is visible on the left of the screen when Bluey's secretary desk is facing the camera straight on.
- Floppy makes her first appearance, when she was thrown.
- When this episode aired on Disney Channel in the US, it was paired with The Claw and Markets.
- On this episode's page on the official website, the character section has Bluey holding a cup and saucer and Honey on a chair.
Errors[]
- When Snickers played as the patient, he says "Help, I’ve cuddled a cactus!" but the ABC iView captions read "I'm caught in the cactus!"
- The iTunes captions read "I totaled a cactus."
- When Bingo tries to cure Snickers, the Disney+ captions read, "Wriggling will just make it harder!"
- When Bingo is sorting out Lucky's problem, the last word Bingo said is muffled. But the ABC iView captions read 'I'm just throwing out all the toys' when she is saying something other than the word toys.
