"I love being a sausage dog!"

Snickers is a secondary character that has appeared in multiple episodes of Bluey.

Bluey.tv Description

Snickers goes to the same school as Bluey and the two of them have been friends since they were babies.

He is a sausage dog (otherwise known as a Dachshund), who sports a yellow Aussie legionnaires’ flap cap.

His little legs can make it tricky to run, but he makes up for it with his incredible rolling skills.

Snickers loves cupcakes, water blasters, pretending to be a news reporter for K9 News and most of all, being a sausage dog!

"Not the most physical kid but loves machines, atoms and the stars."

Appearance

Snickers is a Dachshund[1] with brown and black fur. He has brown feet, hands, bottom tail, eyebrows, and muzzle, and black arms, legs, ears, top tail, torso and head. He also has a black nose and wears a yellow legionnaires cap with a green Australia on the front and green tips.

Biography

Snickers is friends with most of the students in Calypso’s School. He has a mother and unknown father as of yet. Snickers has known Bluey, Coco and Judo since they were all infants.[2]

Personality

Snickers is a good-natured, fun-loving boy who enjoys playing games with his friends. He is keenly aware of his long, skinny body and short limbs, which frustrate him in some situations and delight him in others.

Snickers seems to particularly enjoy pretending to be a news reporter, as shown in K9 News.

Trivia

  • A baby version of him can be seen in Baby Race.
    • The hat he wore in said episode is the same design as current Snickers.
  • His name (and design) could be a reference to the chocolate bar candy, Snickers.
  • Because his mother has a different fur colour than Snickers, this may indicate what Snickers' father looks like, who has yet to be mentioned or to make an appearance.
  • In Typewriter, Snickers had trouble sitting down, but in Baby Race, he could sit just fine.
  • Due to his body proportions (namely his longer body and shorter limbs), he is one of the few pups able to casually walk on all fours at least short distances as seen Seesaw.
    • In the same episode, it is shown his slim elongated body distributes his weight well enough for shorter peers like Bluey being able to underarm carry him without too much of struggle.
  • In Polish dub his name is ''Wafel'' which means ''Waffle''.
