Synopsis
The kids want to dance to some annoying music, but Dad pretends his battery on his phone is flat - until Mum phones him.[1]
In Burger Dog, the kids want to dance to some annoying music on Dad’s phone.[2]
Dad’s reading about the prime minister in the newspaper when Bluey and Bingo ask to play a song on his phone. He agrees, on the condition that it’s not too annoying… cue Burger Dog!
He has pickles and he has cheese! But Bandit’s patience is tested and pretends his battery is flat to escape the catchy tune. This almost works until Mum phones him, catching him in a lie!

Bluey and Bingo ask their Dad if they want to listen to Burger Dog. As long as Dad thinks it isn't annoying, they can listen to it. Dad says yes, and they take the privilege. After a few seconds, Dad twitches his eye, and he decides to turn his phone off and pretend that there's a software update, but Mum calls him and she asks him if he was lying to his kids, and in the end, he was.

- A clip of this episode was released by the official Bluey social media accounts on 3rd June, 2024, marking the first public showing of content from this block of minisodes.[3][4]
- Bandit makes a reference to newer smartphone software putting a toll on their batteries, a move intended to push the sales of a new model of phone. For example, Apple was involved in a controversy called "Batterygate", which involved intentional performance deficits on older phones running newer firmware.
- The speaker which is used by the girls to dance to was used in numerous episodes, such as Onesies and Exercise.
- One of the dance moves Bingo uses, is the same one she does in the series' intro, where she shakes her arms and rocks her head.
- On the close up of Bandit's face while the music plays, his eye can be seen twitching before he turns the music off.
- Long Dog Easter Egg: In the living room, on the rug that the girls dance on, there are two visible Long-Dogs at each corner.
- Burger Dog, with its filtered vocals and focus on animals and food, appears to be an homage to the work of American musician Parry Gripp.
- Tennis Ball easter egg: Along with the usual ball in the frame on the wall, a tennis ball is seen underneath the chest of drawers in the living room.
