"Hooray!" ― Bingo's favourite word and catchphrase
"THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!" ― Bingo Heeler in Escape, Seesaw, and Ragdoll
Bingo Heeler is one of the main characters of Bluey. She is the younger daughter of Bandit and Chilli, and the younger sister of Bluey.
Bluey.tv Description
Bingo is a little ball of energy! She’s kind, curious, determined and loves to laugh. More than anything, she loves diving into pretend games with her big sister, Bluey, their friends, and family.
Whether she’s imagining herself as Snowdrop, Tap Girl, or a fluttering butterfly, her creativity knows no bounds.
While Bingo occasionally drifts into her own little world, she deeply treasures her moments playing with Bluey. At times, keeping up with her sister’s games can be a bit challenging, but Bingo finds her way through.
Bingo loves new discoveries and often finds herself captivated by the small wonders of the world, like a blooming flower or a tiny insect making its way across a leaf. She might occasionally lose track of time, but she’s very good at living in the moment and being present with her family.
Rita (played by Bingo), A mischievous and rather flatulent “Can’t-Hear-Anything Granny”, is besties with Janet (played by Bluey).
While she may walk with a cane, wear a pink and purple blanket as a shawl, and constantly drop her coin purse, there’s plenty of pep left in her yet – she knows how to “floss”, after all.
Rita has a pet snake called Bubsy and can occasionally be found applying her questionable driving skills to the bus route and circuits of the garden.
While she loves a good lamington, her favourite food is baked beans. This weakness for canned goods sometimes lands Rita in trouble – not only when she’s busted for smuggling them out of the kitchen, but also because they tend to knock her off balance.
"Bingo is Bluey's younger sister. She’s 4 years old, and a red heeler like her mum. Bingo also likes to play but she is a bit quieter than Bluey, so is more likely to be the customer than the shop owner. Sometimes though, when Bluey asks her to be the doctor, rather than the patient, she really enjoys it. When she’s not playing you can find her in the yard talking to tiny bugs or off lost in her own beautiful world."
Biography
Bingo is one of the Heeler family members. Outside of her immediate family, she’s a niece of Stripe, Trixie, Radley, Frisky, and Brandy; a cousin of Muffin and Socks; and a granddaughter of Bob and Nana and Mort Cattle and his late wife. Her neighbourhood friends include Missy, Lucky, Mackenzie[2], and Judo[3]. She's also friends with most students from the Kindy, many of Bluey's other classmates from Glasshouse Primary School and best friends with Lila.
As an infant she received her beloved stuffed rabbit, Floppy.[4] Her granddad on her mum's side, Mort, inadvertently forgot to get her a Christmas present soon after she was born. As a result, Bluey resolved to share Gloria, her gift from Granddad, with Bingo.[5]
Onwards, Bingo!
One day when Bandit was tasked with getting Bingo and Bluey to their respective schools, they were somewhat delayed by the girls' games. Upon arriving late at the Kindy, Bandit attempted to rush off without playing their customary game of "Windup Bingo." However, seeing how dejected this made Bingo, Bandit gave in and wound her up in order to send her inside the Kindy. This had the added benefit of allowing Bingo to approach Lila, a shy new student, and asking her to wind her back up. Lila did so, and was so amused that she joined Bingo in her game, beginning the friendship between the two.[6]
...while Bingo can't wait to move.
During the time in which Bandit and Chilli were trying to sell their house, Bingo was naively unaware that this would mean that they would have to move out of their beloved home. As such, she was able to focus almost entirely on the upcoming wedding between her uncle Rad and Frisky, in which she was to serve as a flower girl along with her sister and cousins. Despite not understanding the situation, she willingly aided Bluey in her efforts to remove the For Sale sign in front of their house. Afterwards, she joined her sister, cousins, and mother in going looking for Frisky, who had driven off in a huff due to a disagreement with Rad.
Her world crashing down to reality, Bingo realises she does not want to move after all.
Fortunately, the crisis was soon resolved, and the wedding proceeded, with Bingo fulfilling her role and enjoying the subsequent celebrations with her now expanded family. Afterwards, the house was sold, and it was only as the Heelers' furniture was being packed up that Bingo understood that they would no longer be staying in the house. In her upset, she attempted to uproot the For Sale sign, now marked "Sold", by herself, but was unable to do so. Bluey, having come to terms with the move, proceeded to share a story with her sister about how things would work out. Despite this, Bingo would go and sit sadly in the corner of her bedroom, now empty of her bed; she later went over and hugged Judo goodbye.
Bluey and Bingo return to their forever home.
As it happened, Bingo and the others' search for Frisky would contribute to the Sheepdogs, who had decided to buy their house, but now finding another house for sale that they liked better. After Bandit learned of this and saw how much his whole family loved their home, he promptly ripped the For Sale sign out of the ground himself and threw it down. Joyfully, the Heelers reentered their house, with Bingo and Bluey running through the hallways in happiness. They later ate dinner on their playroom rug, as most of their furniture had already been taken away.[7]
Bingo and Lila journeying through life together.
Bingo and Lila's friendship would continue for many years and see them progress through school together, eventually graduating together.[6]
In adulthood, Bingo attended Bluey's graduation and went on a trip to Rapa Nui, where she posed on for a photo in front of a row of mo'ai. She also became an aunt of a kid.[8]
Appearance
Bingo is a young Red Heeler girl with light cream, orange and dark orange fur.
Much like Bluey, she has a rectangular-shaped body. She has cream feet, hands, tail tip, chest, muzzle and eyebrows, orange legs, arms, tail stem, torso and inner ears, and a dark orange tail spot, back spot, left and right head and outer ears. She also has a brown nose.
In "Teasing", Chilli brushes her hair; for a majority of the episode, she is shown with a lock of blonde hair.
Bingo is mentioned to heavily resemble her maternal aunt, Brandy, being a red heeler, having identical markings on their faces and backs and identical slanted snouts.
Other designs
Pilot designs
- Her design in the 2017 pilot is almost identical to her 2018 design, but her snout is longer.
Different ages
- As a baby ("Bedroom" book[9]), Bingo is shorter and wears a lavender nappy (also known as a diaper). She looks strikingly similar to Bluey as a baby.
- As a teenager ("Daddy Dropoff"), she appears to have a yellow patch on her belly similar to her father's.
- As an adult ("Surprise!"), she has additional tufts of visible hair on her head.
Video games
- Her design is the same in Bluey: The Videogame and Just Dance 2026 Edition. As Mini Bluey.
Personality
Bingo loves to play, but she is usually happy to let Bluey take the lead[10].
She is a sensitive child, and many episodes center around her feelings being hurt[3][11][12], and other characters' subsequent efforts to cheer her up[13][14][15][16]. One thing that hurts her feelings is being called "cheeky".[17] She often has trouble expressing herself[13][18][19]. Like Bluey, she is very imaginative.[20] In other ways, she can be unusually mature - she enjoys vegetables[21][22], is able to stand up for herself[23][24], is able to organise her things[25], and plan ahead[26].
She likes bugs[27], and often takes a break from her game to observe one[28][29][30]. She also shows an interest in space[31][13], books[13][25], and ballet.[32][33][34][35][36][37][38]

Trivia
Development of Bingo
- Unlike Bluey and Bandit, who first appeared in the 2016 pilot, Bingo and Chilli first appeared in the 2017 pilot cut.
- Going by production code, she first appears in "Yoga Ball", and if going by Disney Jr. order, "Keepy Uppy".
- In the previous version of her Bluey.tv description, it incorrectly labels her as four, rather than five (she has been this age as of Handstand). In the October 2023 version of the website, the description had been corrected - 3 (S1-2) 4 (S2-3).
- It is currently shown that Bingo can only count to fourteen as seen in Hide and Seek and possibly Exercise.
- Bingo was referred to as a male by a contact who worked on the 2016 pilot.
- Some believe that it was a simple mistake, but others take this as proof that Bingo was originally male, and the change to make Bingo female occurred due to the team believing that Bingo being male would make the Heeler family too similar to Peppa Pig's family.
- Bingo is sometimes confused for a boy, as Bingo is considered a male dog's name due to a very famous folk song. This is less common than for her sister, due to her resemblance to Chilli.
- Bingo and Socks, Bluey and Muffin's respective little sisters, have so far not had their middle names revealed.
- In Season Two, Bingo's car seat has changed. In Season One, she was in a lap-sash seat and the creators received feedback from fans saying she wasn't big enough for that, so now she's in a four-point harness seat.
General trivia
- Bingo has her own dedicated episode with the same name as her's in Season 2, complete with a special intro.
- Lila is shown to be Bingo's best friend.
- This friendship started through Lila's first day at Kindy in Daddy Dropoff. An older Bingo and Lila can also be seen at the end of the episode, confirming that they are going to be friends for life.
- Conversely, she considers Cookie to be her rival, though this is presumably short-lived.
- Bingo speaks with a faint, but noticeable nasally voice.
- In some episodes, whenever she interacts with an insect, her close-ups are in 3D animation instead of 2D.
- She is the second character (after Chloe) who had their birthday and aged up in the series.
- Her favourite colour is blue, like Bluey; this is mentioned in Easter.
- She sleeps with Floppy, a stuffed bunny she had since she was a baby as shown in her baby picture from Smoochy Kiss.
- Bingo sometimes finds some games too rough, as mentioned in the episode Yoga Ball. This episode also reveals that when she wants to opt out of something, she will bark, which is called her "big-girl bark". However, this seems to have improved through later episodes in the show, such as Pirates.
- Bingo is very similar in appearance to her aunt Brandy, as mentioned in Onesies.
- Bingo is the first character to cry audibly, as seen in Sleepytime.
- Onesies reveals that she likes to mimic the personality of whichever onesie she wears, and if she pretends to kill anyone, they have to pretend to be dead.
- Hotel reveals that when the Heeler sisters make pretend hotels, she likes to be a "crazy pillow" (lying under the "guest's" head and poking at them).
- BBQ reveals that she owns a small kids' chair which she sits on when she's feeling worn-out, which she refers to as her "relaxing chair".
- When she is hungry, it can either make her indecisive, as seen in Bingo, or squirmy, as seen in Mum School.
- She loves the word "Hooray!".
- Like the rest of her family, Bingo is shown to be quite athletic.
- In The Pool, Helicopter, and Duck Cake respectively, it was revealed that Bingo is taking ballet, gymnastics and mini-hockey classes.
- Additionally, she is seen during her mini-hockey class during the minisode Alongside.
- She has learned how to do a handstand due to her gymnastics class, and is able to perform one by herself.
- She has an affinity for dance just as the rest of her family, namely (as mentioned before) ballet.
- She can stay on the monkey bars the longest in her class.
- In "The Sign", it's shown that she's physically strong enough to carry Socks on her shoulders.
- In The Pool, Helicopter, and Duck Cake respectively, it was revealed that Bingo is taking ballet, gymnastics and mini-hockey classes.
- At the end of Surprise!, we can see a picture of older Bingo on Rapa Nui (Easter Island), a Polynesian island which is a special territory of Chile.
- Rapa Nui is a site of particular archaeological interest, most famously for the mo'ai, hundreds of large statues of spiritual significance.
- In Musical Statues, Bandit intentionally calls Bingo "Ringo"[40] during the game. While the name rhymes with "Bingo", this is a reference to Beatles drummer Ringo Starr.
- This could align to the minisode Drums, where Bingo shows interest in the drums.
- Bingo's personality and accent sort of mirrors Ringo's personality as the "funny one" of The Beatles.
- Bingo, Bluey, Lila, and Rusty are the only child characters in Bluey to have canon adult appearances. The aftermentioned three and Jean-Luc, on the other hand, are the only ones to have canon teenage appearances.
